This central Georgia Hospital is seeking a board certified/board eligible Family Practice physician to practice in a traditional outpatient office-based setting in Cochran, GA. New graduates are acceptable. This salaried physician will be clinically supported by hospital based hospitalists and receive office setup and support by the administrative management team. Clinic call is 1:6. A full benefit plan is offered including relocation expenses and educational loan assistance.
Welcome to the community that possesses the professional lifestyle and small town features to be the life-long home you are seeking for you and your family. The hospital, a 55-bed, private, not-for-profit facility governed by a self-perpetuating Board of Trustees, has received awards for Outstanding Hospital of the Year from Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals (GACH), Outstanding Rural Health Program of the Year from Georgia Rural Health Association, the Circle of Hope Award from the American Cancer Society, and most recently we were named Hospital of the Year by GACH.
Candidates will be allowed to reside in the neighboring county of 110K as long as they are within 30 minutes of the practice.
While many hospitals are down-sizing and even closing their doors, the hospital continues to expand to keep pace with the changing environment of health care and rapidly changing technology without the benefit of local tax dollars. The facility does not receive additional funding for indigent care while providing care to a large volume of Medicare and Medicaid patients.
