Primary Care Provider Expectations
Provide scheduled appointments for comprehensive disease-based and preventive care of patients.
When necessary, Primary Care Providers are expected to offer to help the Urgent Care Providers with walk-ins and emergency cases.
Primary Care Providers have a Medical Assistant assigned to them at all times.
If they have a no-show or an appointment slot that is not taken and the walk-in load is high, the primary care provider is expected to help.
Primary Care Providers can choose to see patients during their admin time but all of the expectations for administrative work must still be met (charts complete, preparation for and follow-up of patients, medication management, review of consult notes, checking on referrals, etc).
