Seeking an experienced Family Medicine Physician who can share the love of Christ while efficiently treating 20-25 patients per day with respect, dignity, and compassion. Fluency in Spanish and experience with eClinical Works a plus. Experience with Federally Qualified Health Centers a plus. Our mission is to glorify God as we demonstrate Christ's love among our neighbors in Las Vegas by providing excellent and affordable healthcare for all. HCHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides primary care services to the residents of Las Vegas and surrounding areas. Two locations in North Las Vegas with a team of 15 staff members. The right Family Medicine Physician candidate will be able to support and display a willingness to serve, a desire to learn, lead with integrity, and demonstrate compassion and respect for everyone.

The Family Medicine Physician participates in the delivery of excellent medical services in a patient centered medical home environment with an emphasis on the prevention of disease; the physician provides quality and affordable healthcare to all patients regardless of race, gender, age, background, religion, socioeconomic status, etc. The physician is responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of diseases and injuries in a Family Medicine model setting; provides comprehensive, outpatient medical services for individuals and families on a continuing basis. The physician is expected to seek out alternative methods of treatment when cost poses a barrier to care; to prescribe necessary medication(s) and request appropriate referrals when needed. The Family Medicine Physician also participates in various committee meetings to include Peer Review Meetings and Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement (QA/QI) Committee Meetings to coordinate improvement in all areas of the clinic with an emphasis on the importance of the individual patient and putting their needs first. The physician is also responsible for medical assistant (MA) clinical supervision and continuing verification of the MAs clinical skills competency. The Family Medicine Physician reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer.

Education and Experience Required:

  • D. or D.O. Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Family Medicine Residency program with 1 year of post-residency experience.
  • Must be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Nevada and possess a valid and unrestricted DEA and Nevada Controlled Substance license.
  • Must be Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP).
  • Spanish speaking a plus, but not mandatory.
