Job Responsibilities

Function as a full team member of the interdisciplinary team serving civilian and military
patients at the VA Clinics.

. Provide history, physical examination, diagnosis, and initiation of medical treatment.
Initiate and facilitate treatment and transfer in emergency situations.

. Follow-up office visits for existing medical problems with appropriate diagnostic tests and
medication adjustments.

Referral of patients as needed to appropriate VA specialists/services or other
appropriate health care services.

The physician shall be required to work cooperatively with VA Physicians, CRNAs,
Advanced Practice Nurses (APN), Nurse Practitioners (NP), Physician Assistants (PA),
Registered Nurses (RN), Anesthesia Technicians and a variety of allied health professionals
to deliver comprehensive health care services to patients.

. The physician shall evaluate and treat approximately 10 patients each 8-hour shift. Medical
complexities vary and include cardiovascular, GI, pulmonary, orthopedic, and/or surgical
patients.

Qualifications

- Active physician license from any state
- Board Certified or Board Eligible ABIM or ABFM
- BLS

Working Hours

Monday – Friday 8:00a – 4:30p (no weekends or holidays)
