Our client is looking for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Primary Care Physician who will join their team in Sussex County, NJ. The Physician will work with other healthcare providers and support staff in a multi-specialty, group practice.

Job Description:

  • Responsibilities include providing patient medical care to all age groups in an office-based setting, delivering diagnostic and therapeutic medical services, and making sound medical assessments and treatment plans.
  • Outpatient setting
  • 36 clinical hours + 4 administrative hours (working schedule TBD by practice to include some on call and rotating Saturday shifts):
    Disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery
  • Treatment of acute illnesses
  • Treatment of acute injuries
  • Prescribes and administers medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provides advice regarding personal health and hygiene
  • Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessary
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
  • Provides direction to both clinical and reception support staff
  • Proper and complete medical documentation (without copy/paste) for all patient care in order to assure accuracy (above 80% with goal of 95%) of E/M coding – and closing/sign off after review of all patient charts in accordance with company policies  Failure to meet this essential job function can affect the eligibility for productivity/PCN (percent net collection) bonuses
  • Approximately 20-25 patients per day
  • Proper and complete medical documentation (without copy/paste) for all patient care in order to assure accuracy of HCC coding. Failure to meet this essential job function can affect the eligibility for VBC bonuses
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Successful completion of CHC’s credentialing and privileging review upon hire and re-credentialing as appropriate
  • Strong computer skills with prior electronic medical record (EMR) use preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, hospital personnel and community members
  • Skills to perform patient treatment procedures for most acute illnesses or injuries
  • Remains calm and effective in high pressure and emergency situations
  • EMR: Athena
  • Clean malpractice is required
  • Open to new graduate candidates who are TRULY Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility)
  • Not accepting providers who have lapsed Board Certifications and need to obtain it again
  • Not accepting 1099 candidates

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base salary range $220k-$240k based on experience and training, not including any incentives or bonuses

  • TRULY Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine - REQUIRED
  • NJ license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
  • DEA (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
  • CSR/CDS Certified (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
  • BLS (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
  • Clean malpractice - REQUIRED
