Locums Physician

We are seeking a locums physician in Atlanta, GA to provide supervision and light clinical oversight for a team of digitally-based Nurse Practitioners. This opportunity is ideal for experienced physicians looking for flexible, non-traditional clinical work—perfect for those easing back into medicine or looking for supplemental income.

Compensation: $140.00 Per Hour

Work Schedule & Flexibility

• Minimum: 8 hours/week in-person (can be split across days)
• Maximum: 16 hours/week
• Weekdays only (Monday–Friday)
• Hybrid model: Majority of care delivered digitally, with optional clinic expansion
• No on-call duties required

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care:
  • Virtual care via telehealth (digital shifts, in-office setting)
  • In-person/in-clinic visits as needed
• Perform basic clinical tasks (with training provided):
  • EKGs, strep tests, flu swabs
  • Blood draws not required (outsourced to Quest Diagnostics), but preferred
• Supervise Nurse Practitioners to ensure legal compliance:
  • Collaborate on patient charts
  • Conduct 30-minute quarterly chart reviews (charts pre-selected)

Requirements:

• Active GA Medical License
• Board Certification (MD or DO)
• Experience with telehealth and NP supervision preferred
• Willingness to perform minimal in-person clinical tasks
• Excellent chart review and documentation skills
