Locum Physician - Epileptology in Columbus, OH

Join a reputable healthcare facility in Columbus, Ohio, seeking a dedicated Epilepsy Neurologist for locum coverage. You will provide essential inpatient care at three sites and be part of a dynamic medical team, ensuring the well-being of patients with epilepsy. The practice has a strong focus on acute inpatient care and consists of a collaborative environment where your expertise will be valued.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient care for epilepsy patients at three facilities: Mount Carmel East, Mount Carmel Grove City, and Mount Carmel St. Ann’s.
• Monitor continuous EEGs during assigned shifts and evaluate need for further testing or consultation.
• Consult and round on patients in the morning and make decisions regarding the EEG status.
• Coordinate with advanced practice providers for patient follow-ups after initial consultations.
• Be available for weekend and night call coverage.
• Utilize remote EEG monitoring as necessary during nights.
• Document patient information using the EPIC electronic medical record system.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Epilepsy or equivalent training.
• Demonstrated availability for specified dates, as credentialing requires a minimum of 120 days.
• Must be COVID vaccinated.
• Valid Ohio medical license required (not accepting IMLC).
• Current BLS certification.
• Clean background with no history of malpractice claims.
• Local/drive-in candidates are preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Ohio Medical License (NO compact license accepted).
• Board Certification in Epileptology is mandatory.
• Current BLS certification is required.
