Position Overview

The Zerfoss Student Health Center at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN is seeking a full-time BC/BE primary care physician to join an outstanding, innovative, and dedicated team at our college health center. This position is primarily clinical, with opportunities for outreach and other administrative responsibilities and leadership roles on campus or in our health center for interested candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care at the Vanderbilt Student Health Center, serving a diverse student body including undergraduates, graduate, and professional students.
  • Coordinate care with specialists and manage both urgent care/walk-ins and scheduled appointments.
  • Provide a broad range of medical services including but not limited to Primary Care, Acute/Walk-In Care, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Allergy Shots, Eating Disorders Management, Nutrition Services, Sports Medicine, dedicated LGBTI Healthcare, and comprehensive Travel Medicine
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinic operations.

Qualifications

  • Board-certified or Board-Eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Med-Peds.
  • Experience or interest in primary care or urgent care, particularly with the young adult population.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Practice Opportunity Includes

  • No nights or weekend work.
  • Work hours from approximately 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM every day.
  • Call is rotated: 4-5 call weeks per year, with nurse triage support.
