Catoctin Medical Group, a well-established privately owned single-specialty Family Medicine practice, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible MD/DO to join our team of dedicated providers.

With two locations just 20 minutes apart in scenic Frederick County, Maryland, we’ve proudly served our community for over 40 years — offering compassionate, high-quality care in a supportive and physician-friendly environment.

Job Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute illness treatment.

Develop and maintain long-term patient relationships, promoting continuity of care and trust within the community.
Conduct physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and create individualized treatment plans.

Manage common chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and mental health concerns, coordinating care with specialists as needed.

Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications.

Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR), ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.

Collaborate with a team of medical assistants, nurses, and other providers to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.

Stay current with clinical best practices, continuing education, and evidence-based guidelines.

Qualifications

Candidate Requirements:

MD or DO with Board Certification/Eligibility in Family Medicine

Commitment to patient-centered care

Strong clinical and interpersonal skills

Enthusiasm for being part of a close-knit, community-based practice

Working Hours

Position Highlights:

Outpatient only – no hospital or inpatient responsibilities

4-day work week promoting work-life balance

1 in 5 outpatient call rotation (phone triage only)

Two office locations in Thurmont and Frederick
