Physician - Family Practice

We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician for a 16-day locum tenens position at a clinic in California. Starting 04/04/2025, this role involves working Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm in a fast-paced family practice/urgent care setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a wide range of patient care needs, including well and sick exams, chronic disease management, common illnesses treatment, emergency room follow-up care, immunizations, physicals, pregnancy testing, and STD testing. Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conduct well and sick exams for patients of all ages

• Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes and asthma

• Diagnose and treat common illnesses

• Provide emergency room follow-up care

• Administer immunizations

• Perform physical examinations

• Conduct pregnancy testing

• Offer STD testing and treatment

• Handle walk-in patients in a fast-paced environment

• Utilize Nextgen EMR or paper charts as required

• Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure efficient patient flow

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

• Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures

• Stay current with the latest advancements in family practice

Required Qualifications:

• Board-certified or board-eligible Family Practice Physician

• Active California state medical license

• Experience in both family practice and urgent care settings

• Proficiency in managing a diverse range of patient care needs

• Familiarity with Nextgen EMR
