We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to join our team in Zuni, NM. This is a unique opportunity to serve the Zuni community while working with Indian Health Services. Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Holidays: Federal holidays off (11 paid federal holidays)
- Patient Census: 10-12 patients per day
- EMR: RPMS (training provided if needed)
- Licensure: Any active state license is accepted
- Credentialing Time: Approximately 8-10 weeks
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay Rate (1099 contract): $200 per hour
- Pay Rate (W2 option): $150 per hour
- Additional Compensation (W2 only): Annual salary up to $300,000
- PTO: 4 weeks of paid time off per year (W2 option only)
- Paid Federal Holidays: 11 paid federal holidays per year
- Flexible Schedule: Option for two weeks on, two weeks off schedule
Requirements:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Active medical license in any U.S. state
- Ability to start in May 2025

Job Responsibilities
Preventive services: Offering vaccinations, screenings, and health advice to prevent illness and promote well-being.
Chronic disease management: Managing conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and asthma through regular monitoring and treatment adjustments.
Health education: Guiding patients on healthy lifestyle choices, nutrition, exercise, and managing their health conditions.
Coordination of care: Acting as the central point of contact, working with specialists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
Mental health care: Identifying and treating mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression, and referring to specialists when needed.
End-of-life care: Providing palliative care and support for patients with terminal illnesses, helping with decision-making for comfort and dignity.
Documentation and record-keeping: Maintaining detailed patient records to track health progress and ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
Active medical license in any U.S. state
Ability to start in May 2025
