This is a 1099 contract role for a Family Physician at an IHS facility in Tohatchi, New Mexico starting May 5th through August 1, 2025 with the potential to extend. The Family Physician will be responsible for providing primary care, urgent care, community health, and family medicine services on-site. Located just 40 miles north of Gallup, this opportunity allows you to make a profound impact on the Navajo Nation while experiencing the unique beauty of this culturally rich region.

Qualifications

  • Primary Care and Family Medicine skills
  • Strong clinical skills
  • Ability to see all ages - non negotiable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Board certification in Family Medicine or IM Peds
  • Experience working in underserved communities is a plus
  • Active, unrestricted License and DEA in ANY state
  • Clean NPDP

    Arc Health will conduct a phone screen, collect relevant documents and confirm reference checks before submitting the candidate to the clinic including:

    • Most updated CV with all assignments and work history including a record or all locum assignments
    • 3-4 clinical references or reference letters from the past two years in the specialty with one who can speak to working with this provider in an administrative/managerial capacity.
    • Active Medical license - any accepted
    • Active DEA license - any transferable accepted
    • MD/DO Diploma
    • ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications
    • American Board Certification
    • Immunization records must be available and verified with presentation to site or they will not consider the candidate. Documentation of 2 MMR's or positive titer, 2 varicella vaccines or positive titer, complete Hep B series or positive titer, T-dap vaccine within the past 10 years, initial COVID series and 1 booster within 12 months, flu vaccine for the current season
