Job Description
We are seeking a Locum Tenens Physician to provide comprehensive primary care in a value-based care setting. This role involves treating patients of all ages, managing chronic conditions, and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
Position Details:
- Specialties Considered: Internal Medicine, Family Medicine
- Schedule: Monday – Friday with rotating Saturdays
- Patient Load: Average of 15 patients per day
- Setting: Primary Care in a Value-Based Care Model
Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic care for acute and chronic conditions
- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and review patient history
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.)
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes
- Refer patients to specialists when necessary and coordinate their care
- Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations
Requirements:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
- Active Texas Medical License
- Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a primary care or urgent care setting
- Bilingual in English & Spanish (preferred)
- Proficiency in EHR systems and medical database software
