  • Coverage needed per month: part time (to offset the days our other physician is not here).

  • Frequency of any Call needed: Possible 1-2 weekdays and Weekend call that is rotated with 3-4 other providers.

Job Responsibilities

Clinic is Monday-Friday 9a-5:00p with one hour lunch. Rounding on hospital patients prior to clinic visits. Working in clinic and be on-call for ER
Weekdays in clinic, patients are booked beginning at 9am through 4:30pm. Locum would finish up at clinic when last patient has been seen. If on call for the ER, call would begin at 5pm – ending time varies depending on the individual locum is following and their end time in the morning, which could be 6am/7am/8am.


Physician will need to support clinic and emergency room. Should have some experience working emergency department. Primarily, patients are stabilized and shipped out if is something that we are not equipped to handle. This is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital located in Jetmore, Kansas. The hospital provides 24/7 Emergency services, acute inpatient, skilled swing bed, hospital outpatient services, wound care, pain management, and intermediate swing bed services.
• Patient Volume: ~50 patients per month in emergency department, ~14-18 patients per day in the clinic.

Qualifications

Requirements:
• Board Certifications Req’d/Preferred: Family Practice, required
• State License(s) / IMLC Req’d?: KS license required, IMLC considered.
• Certifications Req’d?: ATLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• DEA Req’d?: Yes
• Minimum Experience Req’d: Needs to be someone confident with their skills in the ER and be able to hit the ground running.
IMLC Accepted?: Yes (would consider)
