Aspire Medical Staffing is in search of a Primary Care Physician for the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center (Milwaukee VAMC), and its Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs).

Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. No weekend or Holiday coverage.

Responsibilities:
  1. The duties and responsibilities of the Internal Medicine or Family Practice Physicians include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Function as a full team member of the interdisciplinary team serving civilian and military patients at the VA Clinics.
  • Provide history, physical examination, diagnosis, and initiation of medical Initiate and facilitate treatment and transfer in emergency situations.
  • Follow-up office visits for existing medical problems with appropriate diagnostic tests and medication adjustments.
  • Referral of patients as needed to appropriate VA specialists/services or other appropriate health care services.
  • Document assessments and plan of care for each patient in accordance with policies and procedures.

  • Physician shall be available to accept patient results to be communicated via phone after hours by the lab.
  • The physician shall be required to work cooperatively with VA Physicians, CRNAs, Advanced Practice Nurses (APN), Nurse Practitioners (NP), Physician Assistants (PA), Registered Nurses (RN), Anesthesia Technicians and a variety of allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive health care services to patients.
  • The physician shall evaluate and treat approximately 10 patients each 8-hour Medical complexities vary and include cardiovascular, GI, pulmonary, orthopedic, and/or surgical patients.
  • The physician shall complete a progress note for each episode of care. All progress notes will be entered in CPRS the day the service is rendered with completion of the electronic encounter form containing the diagnosis of treated conditions, evaluation, and management
Qualifications:
  • shall have a full and unrestricted license in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
  • shall have a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (OD) or Medical Doctor (MD) degree.
    1. The degree must have been obtained from an institution whose accreditation was in place for the year in which the course of study was completed. Approved schools are:
    2. Schools of medicine accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) for the year in which the degree was granted, or
    3. Schools of osteopathic medicine approved by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association for the year in which the degree was
    4. For foreign medical graduates not covered in (1) or (2) above, must possess a certification with the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) and meets (or met) ECFMG eligibility requirements for the year the candidate graduated.
  • Experience: shall have at least two (2) years’ experience in the past 3 years.
  • Certifications: shall be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS). Certifications must be obtained or issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), an organization recognized by the AHA, or Military Training Network (MTN) and maintained during their work at the VA.
