Job Title: Family Medicine Physician

Join a thriving healthcare practice in Bourbon, Indiana! This opportunity is ideal for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician. Located in a welcoming community, this practice focuses on delivering quality healthcare and fostering relationships with patients of all ages. You will be joining a supportive team, operating under St. Joseph Health System.

Job Responsibilities:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (or until all patients are seen).
• Participate in a 1:7 call schedule (phone calls only).
• Manage a conventional Family Medicine practice with responsibilities including chronic disease management, dressing changes, sutures, biopsies, and joint injections/aspirations.
• Perform basic laboratory services and procedures such as skin tag removal, suturing, and joint injections.
• Provide care to patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.
• Collaborate with one Nurse Practitioner in the office.
• Maintain an average patient census of 18-22 per day.
• Engage in teaching opportunities with Family Medicine residents from St. Joseph Health System.
• Adhere to the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.
• Utilize EMR System: Epic.
• Open to H-1B and J-1 visa candidates.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (within 5 years of residency).
• Indiana medical license (or willingness to obtain).
• Active DEA registration (or willingness to obtain).
• BLS and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience working with patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system (highly preferred).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Valid Indiana medical license.
• Active DEA registration.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• COVID Vaccination required.
