Locums Family Medicine OB Need in Kansas

Coverage Needed

• June 22, 2025 - ongoing
• Schedule: 24-hour shifts 7a-7a, with stretches of at least 7 days/month
  • Monday (AM surgery), Tues-Thurs Clinic (9a-11a, 1p-4p, Friday (AM surgery)
    • can accommodate PM clinic on Mondays if needed
• Specific Dates (all shifts end the following day at 7am):
  • June 22-27
  • July 7-18
  • July 22-28
  • Aug 24-31
  • Ongoing dates begin Jan 2026

Clinical Details

• Work in a clinic during the week, seeing ob/gyn patients for new obstetrics, established obstetrics, new gynecology issues, and surgical consultations
• Surgical blocks are twice per week for non-emergent surgeries
• Call includes all obstetrics as well as emergency gynecology and obstetric cases
• Setting: Clinic and Inpatient Call
• Census: Patient population, Adult, Adolescent; Number of beds, 10; Admissions, Clinic 16-25; inpatient 3-6
• NICU available staffed with neonatal nurse practitioner with tele-neonatologist back-up
• 50 births a year
• NICU level 2
• Number of surgeries scheduled per week for OR days: 4-6 per week
• Patients who are deemed high risk by the physician will be sent to another facility
• D&C’s are not required for FM OB, The OBGYNs do the D&Cs
• 75% GYN patients, 25% OB Patients
• EMR: EPIC
• Support Staff: Lab Tech, LPN/LVN, MA, X-ray Tech, RN, CRNA's and midwives
  • Facility has back-up with skilled general surgeons & urologist, critical care physicians and cardiologists
  • Back up support for complicated C-sections with OBGYN

Requirements

• Board Certification FMOB or Truly Board Eligible (0-5 years of residency completion)
• Active KS License - Highly Preferred, open to willing to obtain license
• Active BLS and DEA (will consider a transferred DEA, however, must keep this DEA for the duration of the assignment, not just for shifts worked)
• Clean Malpractice – Highly Preferred
• Procedure Logs: past 24 months for FMOB: Must include a minimum of 50 C-sections, 50 vaginal (with at least 20 each in the last 12 months)
• Required Procedures/Job Duties: All ob/gyn procedures including more than 5 c-section in last 24 months & more than 5 hysterectomies in last 24 months. - FMOBs - 100 C-Sections and 50 Deliveries minimum
• Will not consider candidates wishing to do clinic only
