Adelphi is seeking to urgently recruit a Chief Medical Officer for a county public health department in Colorado. The candidate will provide medical and public health expertise, oversee clinical protocols, and consult on health-related programs. The role ensures compliance with state and federal public health regulations while supporting various health initiatives and emergency responses.

Requirements:
• Licensed as a Physician in Colorado
• MD/DO
• CPR certification
• Certifications in emergency preparedness.
• Ability to develop and implement clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:
• Provide medical and policy advice to BCPH leadership, staff, and governing bodies.
• Develop and renew standing orders for programs, including Naloxone distribution, youth reproductive health, and immunizations.
• Approve and oversee clinical protocols, standing orders, and compliance documentation.
• Conduct chart reviews and ensure proper documentation of clinical services.
• Support vaccine administration programs, including Vaccines for Children (VFC) certification.
• Educate and train BCPH leadership and staff on health initiatives and clinical operations.
• Work with senior leadership to review health systems and engage with hospital partners.
• Attend Board of Health meetings and contribute to public health strategies and policies.
• Provide 24/7 consultation availability for public health emergencies and communicable diseases.
• Oversee emergency management programs and volunteer medical staff under the Medical Reserve Corps.
