Job Description

The VA Healthcare system in Lamar, CO., is seeking an experienced board-certified Primary Care Physician. This is an amazing opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of our veterans.

Position Highlights:

  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
  • No Weekends, No Holidays

Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to:

  • The PCP cares for a panel of approximately 450 patients.
  • The PACT provides comprehensive care for our Veteran population, including the diagnoses, care, and treatment of both acute and chronic conditions. Common diagnoses encountered include diabetes, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, degenerative arthritis, depression, congestive heart failure, and chronic pain.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MD or DO Degree
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible

Together with his or her team, comprised of a PCP, RN, LPN, and a Medical Support Assistant, the PCP cares for a panel of approximately 450 patients. The PACT provides comprehensive care for our Veteran population, including the diagnoses, care, and treatment of both acute and chronic conditions. Common diagnoses encountered include diabetes, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, degenerative arthritis, depression, congestive heart failure, and chronic pain.

Qualifications
