As Adult Medicine Director, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to lead departmental initiatives, ensure clinical excellence, and oversee operational success, all while directly contributing to patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality clinical care to adult patients.
- Lead and manage department operations in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer, Nurse Manager, and Practice Manager.
- Drive improvements in workflows, patient satisfaction, and operational performance.
- Recruit, onboard, mentor, and retain clinical providers and staff.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
- Use data analytics to inform evidence-based decisions and present key metrics.
- Cultivate a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Board Certification: Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Medical License: Licensed to practice in Connecticut (Preferred).
- Experience delivering care to underserved populations with complex health needs.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, even with limited administrative experience.
- Preferred experience supervising advanced practitioners (APRNs, PAs).
- Familiarity with EHR systems and data-driven decision-making.
