As Adult Medicine Director, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to lead departmental initiatives, ensure clinical excellence, and oversee operational success, all while directly contributing to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, high-quality clinical care to adult patients.
  • Lead and manage department operations in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer, Nurse Manager, and Practice Manager.
  • Drive improvements in workflows, patient satisfaction, and operational performance.
  • Recruit, onboard, mentor, and retain clinical providers and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
  • Use data analytics to inform evidence-based decisions and present key metrics.
  • Cultivate a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Board Certification: Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Medical License: Licensed to practice in Connecticut (Preferred).
  • Experience delivering care to underserved populations with complex health needs.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, even with limited administrative experience.
  • Preferred experience supervising advanced practitioners (APRNs, PAs).
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and data-driven decision-making.
