Job Title: General Medicine Provider – PRN Basis

Location:

  • Uvalde, TX: 10 days per month (multiple openings)
  • Fort Davis, TX: 1 day per week
  • Providers must have their own office location and be within 50 miles of the site.

Job Type: PRN (As Needed, Ongoing)

Job Overview:
Our client is seeking qualified healthcare providers to conduct non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and separation health assessments for U.S. Veterans. Providers will work on a PRN basis, delivering high-quality evaluations in their own office space or our client's leased facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform one-time, interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
  • Utilize a Goniometer for musculoskeletal assessments.
  • Complete standardized Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) for each evaluation within 48 hours.
  • Conduct METs testing and assess respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
  • Review medical records and provide follow-up administrative work as needed, including addendums and medical opinions.
  • Submit reports via secure provider portal.
  • Maintain compliance with protocols and training guidelines.

Coverage Options:

  1. Travel to VES-leased facilities.

Scheduling Details:

  • Flexible scheduling available for half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts.
  • Uvalde requires 10 days per month (multiple providers can apply).
  • Fort Davis requires 1 day per week.

Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
  • Familiarity with musculoskeletal, diabetes, respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
  • Proficient in METs testing and using a Goniometer.
  • Ability to obtain DMA certification (training provided; CME credits available).
  • Own a personal laptop (Windows only; no Mac devices).
  • Record review and independent documentation experience preferred.
