Adelphi is seeking a Medical Director to provide overall coordination of all medical care at a long-term care facility in Bennington County, Vermont (VT). The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a long-term care facility, a valid VT license and be board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

Requirements:
• Active and unrestricted VT License
• Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Valid DEA license
• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role in a long-term care facility.


Responsibilities:
• Oversee the coordination and delivery of medical care across the facility.
• Advise facility leadership on matters affecting the health and welfare of residents.
• Review, assess, and recommend updates to medical and resident care policies, conducting evaluations as needed.
• Communicate medical policies, procedures, and regulations to all medical staff and support administration in ensuring compliance.
• Participate in Quality Assurance Committees to conduct and report on monthly quality assessments to uphold resident care standards.
• Engage as an active member of key facility committees.
• Assist in developing strategies for ongoing employee health monitoring and coordinating care for work-related injuries.
• Organize and lead in-service training programs for nursing and related staff.
• Ensure all medical care provided by physicians and medical staff is compliant with state, federal, and facility administration regulations.
• Overseeing and managing the credentialing process for all medical staff and providers.
• Other duties as assigned by the facility's administration.
