Family Medicine W/ OB opening in Northern AZ
- Located in Page, AZ; 130m to Flagstaff; 30m to Lake Powell
- Full-time, Permanent Position
Essential Functions:
- The Family Practice Physician plays a crucial role in providing medical services to patients of all ages within the scope of licensing, training, and privileging/credentialing
- Provide direct patient care to clinic patients and may provide medical services in local hospitals per credentialing/privileging policies.
- Record patient medical history and information into the Agencys approved EMR/EHR system.
- Perform physical examinations, order and interpret tests and diagnostic images, and analyze reports for accurate diagnoses. Refer patients to specialists when necessary.
- Conduct physical examinations for various purposes such as school admissions, job consideration, or insurance eligibility.
- Administer treatments and prescribe medications in accordance with patient diagnoses and condition.
- Educate patients on health, wellness, diet, physical activity, and disease prevention methods.
- Perform surgical procedures and gynecological/obstetrical services as appropriate and approved.
- Participate in peer review activities and advise management on performance deficiencies.
- Contribute to the training of clinical personnel and participate in community outreach activities.
- Travel to other sites to provide coverage if necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited medical school with a current, unencumbered Arizona state license.
- Valid DEA number and CPR certification.
- Board Eligible/Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
- CPR certified and possess a valid drivers license.
- Good interpersonal and human relations skills.
- Comfortable with primary care pace and working in an interdisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) plus years of related clinical experience at a community health center.
- Multi-lingual (English/Spanish/Navajo) language skills.
- Extensive working knowledge of the NextGen EMR system and Microsoft programs.
