Chief of Primary Care opening near Boston - Located in Brockton, MA; 25m to Boston - Full-time, permanent position - BE/BC in either Family Medicine or Internal Medicine - Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in the state of Massachusetts - 5+ years of active outpatient practice experience - 2+ years of previous leadership experience Position Overview: Facility has an immediate need for a board certified Family or Internal Medicine Physician who will serve as the Chief of our Primary Care Division. This is an exciting opportunity presented due to a planned retirement. Located just 21 miles from Boston, Facility is Southeastern Massachusetts' largest not-for-profit integrated healthcare system, including a full service 216-bed community teaching hospital, and one of the largest multi-specialty, multi-site physician group practices on the South Shore of MA. The Chief of Primary Care will be an integral member of the leadership team reporting directly to the President. Consistent with the System goal of promoting and creating a culture of safety with an emphasis on Relationship-Based Care, the Chief will plan, direct and strategize division operations in a DYAD model to ensure clinical quality excellence, patient satisfaction, maximum provider productivity, and division growth through recruitment and retention. Department of Primary Care Divisions include Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Office-Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT) and Urgent Care. General Responsibilities: - This is a full time 40 hour/week onsite position with both clinical and administrative duties. (60% administrative/40% clinical approximately) - Provides coaching and development to direct reports include Section Chiefs covering both Adult and Pediatric Practices, Medical Director of OBAT, Medical Director of ACO and Medical Director of Urgent Care. - Works collaboratively in a DYAD model alongside Service Line Director. - Collaborates across the Healthcare System, building effective relationships with Physician leaders in other departments, implementing system wide process improvements that support patient care. - Engages the department in building and sustaining a shared culture across primary care that is aligned with the mission, vision and values of health system. - Manages provider performance addressing issues such as performance concerns, setting expectations, holding providers accountable and monitoring progress. - Achieves growth of the total primary care panel through effective recruitment, hiring, onboarding and retention of Primary Care provider staff. - Maintains strong patient focus with an emphasis on Safety, Quality and Patient Experience.
