***Family Medicine - OB physician opening in Abingdon, Virginia*** **Position Details:** - Located in Abingdon, VA - Richlands 45m ; Roanoke 134m - Full-time, permanent position - Seeking Full Spectrum, FM/OB, Core Faculty Physicians for our Family Medicine Residency Program - Must be Family Medicine board certified with training in full-scope family medicine including fellowship trained in Obstetrics and a desire to provide patient care in the inpatient and outpatient settings. - OB Fellowship training required. - Physicians must have a strong commitment to graduate medical education. - These are full-time positions with the following required duties: - Handling administrative duties for the GME program, which includes resident supervision in the clinic and hospital, attendance at meetings, candidate interviews, curriculum development, and research; and direct patient care and clinical activities working with our residents in both inpatient and outpatient settings. - The main focus of these positions will primarily be the teaching of residents but will also have responsibilities for teaching medical students and oversight of advanced practice providers. - Call: 1:2 for practice-based, low-volume OB patients; no overnight call for hospitalist shifts - 1:6 office call (phone call only with residents taking first call) - Practice Sites: Abingdon and Marion, VA - Competitive Annual Salary & Generous Sign-On Bonus - Retention Bonus - Educational Loan Assistance & Relocation Assistance - PTO - Full Benefits (Medical, Dental and Vision) - CME Reimbursement **About Location:** Abingdon, Virginia is located on the high Appalachian plateau midway between Roanoke, Virginia and Knoxville, Tennessee.
