FM Medical Director opening in Augusta, ME - Full-time, permanent position - Employed opportunity Position Overview: We are seeking a Board-Certified Physician to join a team as the Medical Director for a group of primary care practices in Northern Kennebec County, Maine. Work clinically two days per week at one of the four primary care practices. Call Coverage: Share call responsibilities for significant issues, with RN triage handling initial contact. Administrative Responsibilities: Leadership: Provide medical staff leadership for four geographically close practices, collaborating with practice administrators and leading medical staff meetings. Team Building: Focus on mentorship, team building, and collaboration. Manage schedules, including office schedules and call coverage. Quality Improvement: Support quality improvement initiatives, implementation of policies, and compliance. Participate in activities such as process design, coding and billing issues, and safety education. Performance Management: Oversee performance reviews, monitor access and referral patterns, and ensure compliance with training, performance expectations, and access enhancement. Recruitment and Retention: Partner with administrative and service line leaders on staff recruitment and retention.
