Nested in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains, Indiana began in 1805 as a timber town but became a coal center in the early 20th century. The park provides year-round outdoor adventures for everyone. Visitors can enjoy 21-miles of single-track mountain biking trails, swim and picnic at the beach, camp in yurts and cabins, boat, fish, hunt, cross-country ski, ice skate as well as go orienteering, wild-life watching and snowmobiling.
