Adelphi is seeking a Medical Director to provide overall coordination of all medical care at a long-term care facility in Harrison County, Mississippi (MS). The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a long-term care facility, a valid MS license and be board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

Requirements:
• Active and unrestricted MS License
• Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Valid DEA license
• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role in a long-term care facility.


Responsibilities:
• Oversee medical care to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Coordinate all medical care at the facility, ensuring seamless collaboration between attending physicians, therapists, and podiatrists.
• Review and oversee the credentialing and privileging process for medical staff.
• Serve as the primary advisor in patient care emergencies when the attending physician is unavailable.
• Participate in patient care consultations and serve on key committees.
• Assist the administrator in implementing recommendations from committee meetings.
• Provide clinical leadership and guidance to medical and nursing staff.
• Review performance of healthcare providers in the facility to ensure adherence to protocols.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by the facility's administration.
