Job Summary:
The Associate Chief Medical Officer reports directly to the CMO. In association with the CMO, the ACMO is accountable for the direction, planning and coordination of all Physician related activities to ensure the highest appropriate level of medical care is provided by the medical staff. This includes establishing and implementing standards of medical service; and developing, and implementing programs for quality patient care, timeliness, productivity, utilization management, quality initiatives, provider education, and performance.
The ACMO is responsible for developing physician relationships; providing professional support to the medical staff executive committee and for reviewing and measuring patient care effectiveness; and leading improvement activities.
The ACMO is responsible for implementing standardized clinical care guidelines in association with the CMO in order to support medical management initiatives related to utilization management, quality initiatives, meeting company key performance indicators, and other related provider performance issues.

Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine and/or Geriatric Medicine
- Valid, unrestricted TX license (or willing to obtain)
- 5 years of experience in group or IPA medical management or Clinic Management
- Experience in all lines of business including Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care
