Centurion is actively seeking Primary Care Physicians throughout the state for both permanent and short-term travel assignments for full time and part-time hours.

Job Responsibilities

The travel/short term and permanent physician provides medical assessments and evaluations, provides treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues, provides and supervises medical treatment for chronic medical conditions, and participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries of patients in a correctional setting. The Physician works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure that efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided.

Qualifications

Requirements:
• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
• Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one required
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine required
• Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred
• Ability to pass credentialing and background check
