Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8am – 5pm
Contract Type: 13 week locums contract (with potential for extension)
Compensation: 1099; Up to $280K annually based on experience and qualifications
Job Description:
As a Remote Addiction MAT or MOUD, you’ll conduct thorough assessments and create personalized treatment plans for patients dealing with addiction. Your role involves prescribing and managing medications, ensuring compliance with DEA regulations, and providing continuous support and monitoring to adjust treatments as needed. You’ll collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care, participate in virtual team meetings, and stay updated on the latest addiction treatment practices. Additionally, you’ll maintain meticulous patient records and documentation to ensure high-quality care.
Job Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with addiction issues.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) or Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD).
• Prescribe and manage medications, ensuring compliance with DEA regulations.
• Provide ongoing monitoring and support to patients, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and support staff to ensure holistic patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Participate in virtual team meetings and case reviews.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in addiction treatment and integrate best practices into patient care.
Qualifications
• DEA Certification: Required to prescribe and manage medications.
• State Licensure: Must be licensed in Oregon or willing to apply for licensure.
• Experience: At least 1 year of previous experience in addiction treatment.
• Specialty: Expertise in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) or Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD).
• Education: Relevant medical degree and training in addiction medicine.
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
• Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using telehealth platforms and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Flexibility: Ability to adapt to remote work and manage a diverse patient population.
