Overview

Join our dynamic, well-established ophthalmology practice in the heart of the Umpqua Valley, Southern Oregon. We are seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to join our growing team of 2 ophthalmologists and 1 optometrist. A subspecialty interest in glaucoma or cornea is a plus, but not mandatory.

Why Join Us? We pride ourselves on maintaining a balanced work-life environment, while offering a high-volume practice with little competition in the area. Our practice is designed to foster professional growth and collaboration in a supportive community atmosphere.

  • Work-life balance: 4-day work week with 1-1.5 days dedicated to the OR.
  • Surgical volume: You will have the opportunity to perform 500-700 cataract surgeries annually, with approximately 14 cataracts per OR day.
  • Clinical volume: Manage 30-35 patients per day in a well-equipped clinic with 5 exam rooms, supported by a scribe and 2-3 dedicated technicians.
  • Glaucoma focus: Ample opportunities for MIGS or incisional glaucoma surgery.

Our practice has a strong referral network, supported by a robust reputation among local optometrists and patients alike. Additionally, our experienced staff, both clinical and surgical, are dedicated to ensuring a seamless and rewarding experience for physicians and patients.

Key Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • 501(c) status: Eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)
  • Sign-on bonus & relocation assistance
  • Annual CME allowance
  • Buy-in opportunities: Optical shop LLC and real estate
  • Partnership potential: You will be treated as an equal partner in all clinical, surgical, and business opportunities from day one.

Please note: There is no risk of conversion to private equity. Additionally, call duties are shared equally among the ophthalmologists in the community, with a moderate call burden (0-3 clinical add-ons per day) and minimal after-hours cases or consultations.
