PART TIME OPPORTUNITY

Springwoods Behavioral Health is seeking to recruit a Family Medicine Physician for medical history and physicals, and medical consults if needed, for psychiatric in-patients.

Springwoods offers a number of specialized behavioral health treatment programs for all patient types. Among these are programs for adolescents, adults, women and senior adults. In each treatment program, a multidisciplinary team of professionals—including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers and therapists—develop an individualized treatment plan for each patient based on their particular needs and strengths.

OPPORTUNITY DETAILS:

  • Part Time, Independent Contractor position
  • In-Patient Setting
  • Duties include: H&P for all new patients, medical consult and follow up if needed, reviewing lab/EKG and interpreting results by communicating with attending Psychiatrist.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Arkansas Medical License, or ability to obtain
  • B/C or B/E in Family Medicine

Springwoods Behavioral Health is located in Fayetteville, Arkansas, just off I-49 and is convenient to all of Northwest Arkansas and the surrounding region.

The mental health hospital’s 80 beds accommodate adolescents and adults. The two-story patient wing has expansive windows to take advantage of the surrounding views and create open and bright patient areas. The campus also features a one story building for therapy, education, dietary and administrative purposes.

The hospital's six-acre campus is adjacent to a 123-acre Audubon Wildlife and Bird Sanctuary, which is held in perpetuity and cannot be developed from its natural state. This provides Springwoods with a peaceful setting for those embarked on the road to recovery.
