A leading healthcare organization in Sullivan County is currently seeking a Family Medicine Physician.
About the Opportunity:
The Family Medicine Physician will join a collegial team of primary and specialty care professionals to provide general medical care to health center patients.
- On-site: Yes
- Shift: Flexible - PT and FT positions - weekends required
- Schedule: 8 hour shifts
- Facility Hours: M-F 10a-5p, Su 10a-4p
- Setting: Outpatient
Responsibilities:
The Family Medicine Physician will be responsible for:
- Delivering general medical care to patients at the health center.
- Assessing patient's health and implement therapeutic and preventive interventions.
- Providing education on preventive health practices to patients.
- Accurately documenting patient histories and treatment records.
- Conducting initial evaluations and prioritize care based on medical needs.
- Managing emergency situations to ensure patient stability before transfer.
- Requesting and analyzing diagnostic tests, ensuring timely follow-up on results.
- Referring patients to specialists or other healthcare providers as needed.
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree from an accredited allopathic or osteopathic school
- Active, unrestricted NYS medical license
- Active NY DEA Registration
- Board Certified/eligible in Family Medicine
