Job Responsibilities

As a Family Practice Physician at this community health center, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. Your duties will include conducting thorough patient assessments, diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, and developing individualized treatment plans. You will also provide preventive care, including vaccinations, screenings, and health education. In addition, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and participating in quality improvement initiatives are also key responsibilities. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine.
Active and unrestricted Texas medical license (or ability to obtain one prior to start date).
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a primary care or community health setting preferred.
Strong commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in underserved communities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable but not required.
Ability to manage a diverse patient population and handle a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
