Last Update: 12/16/24

The Zerfoss Student Health Center at Vanderbilt University in Nashville TN is seeking a full time (4-5 days/week) primary care physician to join an outstanding, innovative and dedicated team at our college health center.

A qualified candidate should be a board-certified physician who is experienced in primary care, particularly those candidates with experience with the young adult population. This position is primarily a clinical position, but there are also many opportunities for outreach on campus and other administrative responsibilities and leadership on the campus or in our health center for those candidates with that interest.

All of our physicians are employees of the non-profit Vanderbilt University Medical Center through the Department of Medicine. Salary is based on experience. Vanderbilt University and the Vanderbilt University Medical Center are Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity employers.

The Vanderbilt University Zerfoss Student Health Center

Vanderbilt University, an independent, privately supported university, and the separate, non-profit Vanderbilt University Medical Center, share a respected name and enjoy close collaboration through education and research. Together, the number of people employed by these two organizations exceeds that of the largest private employer in the Middle Tennessee region.

The Zerfoss Student Health Center is part of the Vanderbilt University Medical Center and serves a diverse student body of undergraduates, graduate and professional students. As such, we seek to recruit and retain an equally diverse group of physician leaders on our campus.

The Zerfoss Health Center is centrally located on campus, on the border between Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Our facility provides a broad range of medical services including Primary Care, Acute/Walk-In Care, Allergy Shots, Eating Disorders Management, Nutrition Services, Sports Medicine, dedicated LGBTI Healthcare, Sexual and Reproductive Health, and comprehensive Travel Medicine.
