Outstanding opportunity for a Monday to Friday, 40 to 50 hour per week Medical Doctor. Schedule is 8 am to 4 pm or 8 am to 5 pm. Long term contracted opportunity, overseeing the adult male inpatients. The facility will have a total of 4 providers. Each provider will carry 2-4 units. Admissions are done on a rotation bases and generally average 4 to 5 admissions per week.
No night call, no holidays and no weekends.

Job Duties:
- Provide treatment to a caseload of patients as needed, due to illiness, injury or chronic medical diagnosis.
- Evaluate assigned cases at intake
- Sign certificate of admission
- Order and interpret lab tests
- Conduct initial physical exams(H&P) and makes diagnoses of patients
- Develop and implements treat plan
- Follow up exams and documents changes in progress notes
- Prescribe and direct administration of medicines
- Monitor effectiveness of medications
- Advise nursing staff of unusual treatment and answer questions
- Provide clinical direction to staff involved in direct care
- Recommend treatment for more difficult clinical cases
- Provide back-up coverage of other pavilions and assessments at intake
- Serve as officer of the day being on-call on site for consultation or emergency medical assistance
- Serve as member of the medical committee, pavilion and program meetings, case evaluation, audit and utilization review.
- Participate in all mandatory training
