**Optometrist opening - Yuba City, CA**
- Located 40 miles from Sacramento
- Salary: $143,100 - $190,400
**About the Opportunity:**
- Full-time, permanent position

- Diagnose, treat and provide management of common eye conditions and diseases
- Conduct comprehensive eye exams and vision test
- Prescribe corrective lenses and medication to treat ocular diseases and disorders
- Check patients for signs of disease and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care when needed
- Stay current with advancements in Optometry and integrate new techniques into practice when apporved
- Educate patients on proper eye are and preventive measures
- Maintain EHR/Medical Records documentation, keeps case histories in accordance, and meets contractual requirements per corporate procedures
- Participated in consumer education and in-service training for support personnel
- Quality of care (Quality Measures) and participation in Peer Review
- Provide virtual care via phone and video calls (ensuring the use of video every time it is available), including assessments, clinical history gathering, diagnosis, and guidance or treatment
- Must adhere to assigned shifts including evenings and weekends as per contract
- Capable of independent job performance, punctual attendance, consistent completion of scheduled shifts

- Perform a series of test to identify issues with depth perception and clarity
- Provide basic treatment and vision therapy
- Other physician duties as assigned by supervisor
**Qualifications:**
- Must hold a valid California State Optometry License
- Must be BC/BE eligible
- Current CPR certification
- Demonstrates clear knowledge of the clinics structure, standards, procedures and protocols
- Education:
- Must hold OD degree from an accredited medical school
- Must have completed and approved internship
- Skills:
- Must have neat and legible handwriting
- Ability to communicate well with the public including the ability to explain scientific information
- Must be able to pay attention to detail
- Must be able to apply deductive reasoning to determine if the patient has myopia or hyperopia or suffering from disease or a condition
