Locums Tenens - Primary Care Advanced Practice openings Nationwide Coverage Dates: Ongoing Flat rates: $700 for a full day: 5-8 hours (includes time to complete exams, submit reports, including any addendums, no OT) $300 flat rate for 4-hour shifts or less (includes time to complete exams, submit reports, including any addendums, no OT) One-time bonus of $650 for completing all required training and performing first exams Schedule: Days PRN - as needed basis. Assignment Details: Coverage Dates: Starting ASAP - Ongoing Holidays Included: New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day Practice Setting: Outpatient PRN basis Requirements: Specialties Accepted: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or anyone with a background in general medicine or experience with compensation and pension Board Certification: AANP Licensure: Active and unrestricted full license in AK Certifications: BLS Experience: Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions Equipment: Own personal laptop (NO MACs) Additional Information: Privileges Required: No Admissions Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: No Facility is not Stroke Certified Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: Quick credentialing and onboarding EMR System: VES provider portal Facility Accepts Multiple Providers: Yes Work Schedule: Option to work ½ days (4-hours) and/or full days (8-hours) One-time non-treatment CP exams + separation health assessments Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing No prescribing, no treatment Description/Other Details: Two (2) options for coverage: Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility and/or schedule Veterans within your own practice Use of Goniometer required Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required Reporting/DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report. End product is completion of standardized form(s) Evaluations to be completed in VES's provider portal Record review is required in most cases Follow up administrative work will be required on a regular basis (addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics) Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) Quick credentialing and onboarding DMA certification available (can get CME credits) will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified The provider will need to complete a 2-hour PEP session/training before their first shift. This session will be one-on-one, via Zoom or Microsoft Teams, with a Report Analyst who will help navigate the online secure web portal, give advice and tips on completing DBQs and reviewing medical records, and prepare for first Veteran cases. The PEP session lasts about 2-3 hours and is scheduled a few days before the first Veteran cases.
