Join a mission-driven Community Health Center seeking a BC/BE Family Medicine physician to provide direct primary medical care on a team serving the multi-cultural population in the Erie, PA area due to expansion of this service.

You will work with a dedicated team of other physicians, APPs, nurses, social workers, transportation volunteers, and interpreters to serve local resettled refugees and migrants from many different ethnic backgrounds and other individuals with limited access to health care services in the northwest Pennsylvania region.

  • Full-time outpatient position
  • Choose between daytime hours five 8-hour or four 10-hour days
  • No weekend or evening hours.
  • Limited 1:6 outpatient telephone call.
  • Inpatient and emergency care can be handled by local hospitals.

Job Responsibilities

- Provide outpatient medical examinations and treatment for patients ranging in age from child to adolescent to adult and geriatric patients.
- Participate in supervision of Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistants.
- Participate in quality improvement, medical education, and research efforts

Qualifications

- MD/DO and successful completion of an approved residency program in family medicine
- BC/BE in Family Medicine
- Current Pennsylvania medical license and DEA , or ability to obtain.
- Good communication skills
- Clean malpractice history
- Ability to speak other foreign languages helpful but not required

Working Hours

Full time -- Work either Five 8-hour days (Monday through Friday) or four 10-hour days (40 hours per week)
