As acting Medical Director Multispecialty, you will oversee the Colorado Springs Market. Your Medical Director scope will include:

  • Neurosciences
    • Neurosurgery, NIR, Neurohospitalists
  • Orthopedics
  • Ortho Trauma
  • General Surgery (CSSA)
    • Trauma, Bariatrics, Surgical Oncology, Colorectal
  • Spine and Pain

The Medical Director is responsible to provide clinical and managerial health care leadership, problem-solve, communicate and strategically plan the development of the medical staff and clinic. The Medical Director is also responsible to confirm compliance of medical staff with all state and federal requirements. The Medical Director interacts with the corresponding Clinic Administrator and Assistant Administrator, the CMG (CommonSpirit Medical Group) efficiencies across assigned region.

Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally)

Qualifications

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Doctorate (MD or DO) in Medicine required
  • Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in applicable state required
  • Strong previous performance of providing quality and efficiency in patient care and operations.
  • Strong track record of recruitment, retention of talent and leadership development.
  • Experience with leading and redirecting talent as needed.
  • Strong ability to lead in a changing environment. Budgetary, P&L and Quality Assurance experience for a physician practice
  • Preferred affiliation with CommonSpirit Mountain Region for greater than one year
