Job Description
SSM Health in Warrenton, Missouri is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our team. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, emphasizing preventive care, health maintenance, and the management of chronic conditions. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient primary care services to patients of all ages, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.
- Perform routine physical examinations, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and provide preventive care services.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and coordinate referrals to specialists when needed.
- Educate patients and their families about health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and medical assistants, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs to enhance the delivery of care.
- Stay current with advancements in medical knowledge and evidence-based practices through continuing medical education and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
- Residency training in Family Medicine from an accredited program
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine
- Valid medical license in the state of Missouri or eligible for licensure
- Excellent clinical skills and bedside manner, with a commitment to providing compassionate care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with patients and healthcare team members
- Commitment to lifelong learning and professional development
