Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Locum Tenens Physician to join as soon as credentialed, with the position ongoing until a permanent hire is made.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- 1-hour lunch break
Responsibilities:
- Provide ambulatory care, handle walk-ins, post-hospital stay visits
- Manage 20+ patients per day, in a fast-paced environment
- Conduct 20-minute appointments, some telehealth
- Care for patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly
- Serve an underserved population, accepting all insurance types including Medicaid and Medicare
Support Team:
- 2-3 mid-level providers
- Medical Assistants (MAs)
- Triage nurses
- Behavioral Health (BH) consult team
Technology:
- Epic EMR system
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM)
- Active MI medical license
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Interest in either locums or locums to permanent positions
- Comfortable with a fast-paced environment and all basic procedures
