Skylands Urgent Care in Lake Hopatcong, NJ is looking for a Board Certified Primary Care Physician who will join their team. The Physician will work with other healthcare providers and support staff in a multi-specialty, urgent-care, group practice.

Job Description:
  • Responsibilities include providing patient medical care to all age groups in an office-based setting, delivering diagnostic and therapeutic medical services, and making sound medical assessments and treatment plans.
  • Outpatient setting
  • Office Hours are as follows (working schedule TBD by practice to include some on call and rotating Saturday shifts):
    - Monday - 9am-6pm
    - Tuesday- 9am-8pm
    - Wednesday- 8am-8pm
    - Thursday- 8am-9pm
    - Friday- 9am-5pm
    - Saturday 9am-1pm
  • Disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery
  • Treatment of acute illnesses
  • Treatment of acute injuries
  • Prescribes and administers medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provides advice regarding personal health and hygiene
  • Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessary
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
  • Provides direction to both clinical and reception support staff
  • Proper and complete medical documentation (without copy/paste) for all patient care in order to assure accuracy (above 80% with goal of 95%) of E/M coding – and closing/sign off after review of all patient charts in accordance with company policies? Failure to meet this essential job function can affect the eligibility for productivity/PCN (percent net collection) bonuses
  • Expected to see 25 patients per day
  • Proper and complete medical documentation (without copy/paste) for all patient care in order to assure accuracy of HCC coding. Failure to meet this essential job function can affect the eligibility for VBC bonuses
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Successful completion of CHC’s credentialing and privileging review upon hire and re-credentialing as appropriate
  • Strong computer skills with prior electronic medical record (EMR) use preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, hospital personnel and community members
  • Skills to perform patient treatment procedures for most acute illnesses or injuries
  • Remains calm and effective in high pressure and emergency situations
  • EMR: Athena
  • Clean malpractice is required
  • Open to candidates seeking alternate shift schedule (to be discussed at interview)

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
  • Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • 2+ years experience as a Primary Care/Urgent Care physician
  • NJ license (or willing to obtain)
  • DEA Certified (or willing to obtain)
  • CSR/CDS Certified (or willing to obtain)
  • BLS (or willing to obtain)
  • Clean malpractice
