Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Primary Care Physician to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln. The NYC Health + Hospitals Street Health Outreach and Wellness (SHOW) program utilizes mobile units to provide health screenings, vaccinations, wound care, basic material necessities to New Yorkers who are unsheltered. A further goal of the program is to connect patients to NYC Health + Hospitals facility-based clinics, where they can receive ongoing medical care. Lincoln is an acute care teaching hospital academically affiliated with Weill Medical College of Cornell University.

Opportunity Details

  • Primary Care Physician needed to serve unsheltered population
  • This position will be partially based at facility-based Primary Care Safety Net Clinic and partially based out of mobile clinics as part of the Street Health Outreach and Wellness program
  • While staffing the mobile clinic, canvas surrounding neighborhood to engage with patients experiencing homelessness
  • Offer limited medical services while encouraging patients to visit van or clinic for further evaluation and services
  • Participate in scholarly activities, including teaching medical students and/or residents
  • Robust analytic support from Office of Ambulatory Care & Population Health
  • Access provided to NYC Health + Hospitals Quality Academy training for emerging leaders

Qualifications

  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine
  • X-waiver for prescribing buprenorphine or willingness to obtain one
