or behavioral supports beyond what’s available to them in the community. Our campus provides care and staff supervision 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Opportunity:
- Responsible for the effective delivery of high-quality medical services to individuals with intellectual disabilities served
- Involves direct delivery of clinical practices and monitoring of medical services, participating in treatment team process, advocate for the medical needs of persons service, and working with the individual's families, Family Nurse Practitioners, and with consultants and community medical providers in other medical specialty areas.
- Reports directly to the Administrative Medical Director of the State Supported Living Center and works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
- Order, perform, and interpret tests and analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose condition.
- Consulting with patients to understand their symptoms and health concerns.
- Advise clients concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses and coordination of care services to effectively treat orthopedic and medical conditions, such as hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, asthma.
- Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
- Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments.
- Compliance with HHSC and facility documentation timeframe requirements.
- Provides and monitors facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for compliance with accrediting agencies; specifically, Medicaid Medicare guidelines, CMS Standards, DSSLC Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives
