Associate Medical Director Position

Join a large multispecialty Group that is looking for a Associate Medical Director (AMD) works under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to ensure the highest level of clinical quality and patient care within Family Practice (Adult Medicine).

The AMD has responsibility for overseeing and managing the clinical performance of clinical providers in Family Practice at designated practice sites. The AMD will present the concerns of the clinicians practicing within Family Practice to the CMO and other administrators, and relay directives, recommendations and concerns from the CMO and other administrators to the clinicians within Family Practice. The AMD will promote integration with and transition between other clinical services, including (but not limited to) Behavioral Health, Dentistry, Pediatrics, Women’s Health, Specialty Care, and Care Management. The AMD is to be a role model to other clinicians for clinical quality, positive interactions, problem-solving, ethical conduct, and professionalism.

An AMD working 40 hours per week will be expected to have 8-10 hours administrative and management time and 30-32 hours clinical practice time per week. An AMD will be expected to work a minimum of 30 hours per week (0.75 FTE).

As a Clinical Leadership position, the AMD will be expected to demonstrate initiative and self-directed behavior, and will be responsible for demonstrating results and/or progress in management and performance indicators.

Requirements

  • At least three years of recent experience in outpatient primary care practice.
  • Experience in a FQHC setting preferred.
  • Previous management or leadership experience
  • MD/DO $111.00 - $144.30 an hour
