The Assistant/Associate Professor of Primary Care will demonstrate experience and expertise in a Primary Care field of medicine that ensures the integration of scientifically based, outcome evaluated clinical knowledge and skills, biomedical sciences, and osteopathic principles and practices for predoctoral and/or postdoctoral students, provide service to the university and professional communities and engage in innovative scholarship and research to advance medical knowledge.

- Deliver medical education in the classroom, laboratory, simulation and clinic settings.
- Maintain scheduled office hours for student advising, tutoring, remediation and consultation
- Service students through serving on committees, providing leadership, mentorship and expertise and participating in community outreach.
- Develop clinical preceptors (adjunct clinical faculty) and provide faculty development for the clinical preceptors
- Curriculum development, assessment, modification, quality improvement
- Assess and evaluate students and residents to help meet established standards
- Prepare grant proposals and academic evaluative reports.
- Clinical weekly work (1-2 half days) at local clinic and hospitals to maintain skills
- Maintain a personal and professional plan and portfolio
