- A Family Medicine Physician is a medical doctor specializing in comprehensive healthcare for individuals and families across all ages, genders, and diseases. This role involves providing primary care services, preventative care, health education, and coordination of care with specialists as needed. Family Medicine Physicians play a crucial role in promoting health and wellness within their communities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Act as the first point of contact for patients seeking medical assistance. Assess and diagnose various health conditions, injuries, and illnesses.
• Conduct routine screenings, immunizations, and health assessments to prevent diseases and promote wellness. Provide guidance on lifestyle modifications such as diet, exercise, and smoking cessation.
• Address the unique health needs of elderly patients. Manage age-related conditions, conduct geriatric assessments, and coordinate care with other healthcare providers.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures. Empower patients to take an active role in managing their own health.
QUALIFICATION:
• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of residency training in Family Medicine or Primary Care.
• Board certification in Family Medicine.
• State medical license and DEA registration.
