Adelphi is seeking a Physician to provide medical services at a detention center in Yuma County, Arizona.

Requirements:
• Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
• Arizona license
Responsibilities:
• Dispense all psychotropic and prescribed medications during scheduled med passes for detainees.
• Conduct health screening on juveniles upon admission.
• Train designated detention staff to conduct screenings and review each completed screening within 24 hours of admission.
• Obtain and review immunization records for juveniles detained more than 15 days.
• Perform physical exams on all detainees committed within twenty-four hours.
• Notify appropriate officials and guardians of required medical care for juveniles.
• Conduct daily sick calls to identify juveniles in need of medical services due to non-emergency injury or illness while in detention.
• Control and monitor pharmaceuticals.
• Conduct vision and hearing assessments for students with special needs enrolled in the Education Program at the facility.
• Provide quarterly quality assurance assessment reports for the medical services program.
• Review assessments conducted by the nurse or physician assistant.
• Any other duties as assigned
